I am not going to lie to you. I actually have a lot of problems with the Citrix I have been using for a while. Why is this? Because that particular vendor has a tendency to do the same thing over and over again. So I’m going to share my experiences with you to make you think, and hopefully help you be a better Citrix user.

After getting a Citrix product for several years, I have to say that the service I have been using for the last 3 months is far superior to anything else I have tried. I have seen many of my friends and coworkers suffer with this same issue, and I was really surprised to see Citrix really being able to fix this issue and provide a solution for our problems.

Citrix is an open source software, available for personal and business use. The company, however, does not provide technical support, so people have to come in with solutions themselves and spend hours getting fixes and upgrades. I am amazed with how quick and smooth the Citrix support process is.

The Citrix team is working hard to fix this issue. The company is now offering a free upgrade to their Citrix Control Panel for everyone to use. The upgrade will offer many additional features, including the ability to change the default browser to any other one. Another cool feature, the ability to control many different OS versions without the need to install a full Citrix license. I’ve been using Citrix for over a year now and I love it.

With the new GUI, Citrix is now able to manage multiple OS versions, a feature that’s been around for a while but never really worked well. If you’re already running Windows 7 and you want to use Citrix with Linux, you can do it on your own, but it can get a little clunky. Citrix is planning to offer support for the Linux OS in the future.

I don’t know about you, but I use all of the different versions of Linux I can think of. But the only reason I’m able to use the same client on the same OS versions on my desktop is because I’m using a different version of Citrix. I’m still using Win7 here, but I have a separate Citrix license for Linux. I think that might be worth a look.

I know I could do without the Citrix integration, but I do like the idea of using Citrix with Linux on my desktop. I don’t have a problem with the client, but it is a little confusing if you’ve got more than one version of Windows on the system.

The Citrix client is a client for the Citrix environment, so it’s not entirely clear exactly how it works for running apps on Linux or Mac (since Linux and Mac have very different clients). To run apps on Linux that use Citrix, you use a different client, which we’ll just call ‘cxclient’ for the sake of this example.

Citrix is not a brand name, so there is no Citrix Client.
