The data engineer is something that is for everyone. It’s becoming something that most companies (and most people) are hiring for. So what does that mean for us? Are we looking for a data engineer, a data scientist, or something else? It depends.
For a data engineer to be useful, you have to know a lot about a lot of things. Its hard to make a successful data engineer without actually being a data scientist, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be a data engineer. Its just that having a background in those areas may help you as a data engineer.
