I was working on a case (initiating the introduction of the new client) and I was wondering which case may benefit from explainable ai principles? In this case we are implementing a self-awareness framework.
Self-awareness is the ability to understand oneself and what they want from life. The term is from the Greek word “sos” which means “knowing”, and “auto” which means “to be.” Self-awareness is the ability to control your thoughts, emotions, and actions to get what you want from life.
We want this framework for two reasons. The first is to increase the amount of autonomy that is available to people who have disabilities. We want to make the case that there should be an option to explain what’s going on to people who are in the position to be able to do something about it. The second reason is that we want to make the case that this framework can give people who are able to do something about it a better chance of getting the needed support.
this is the case for people with disabilities who are on the autism spectrum. So, for instance, in the case of autistic children, if they can’t be given the option to talk about what they’d like to do then they’re going to be on the autism spectrum, which means that they’re going to be in the position of needing and being given supports and services that don’t exist in the autism world.
The same goes for people with social anxiety disorder. We have many social anxiety disorder support groups and we can try to get people in to them, but it helps if the group can be made accountable to both the person with anxiety disorder and the person who is helping them.
In my experience, these needs and services are often made for people who don’t use the internet at all. Because theyre such a minority group, theyre often the first to feel the lack of support, and are often the ones the most in need of empathy. For kids who are in a situation where they can’t afford to attend a support group, or are unable to explain themselves, apps like Explain my Language can be helpful.
Explain my Language is a website for kids who have anxiety disorder and are struggling to find the right words to explain themselves to parents, friends, and other adults. Parents can use Explain my Language to help them talk to their kids and answer their questions. The case is called “ExplainMyLanguage” and it’s a website for kids. And like the website, it’s a great resource for kids who have A.I. disorder or anxiety disorder. But unlike the website, it contains a lot of information for kids with mental illness as well as for kids with autism.
