The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.
It seems as though we’ve all been told that the most important element of life is to “make sure I don’t get fired.” The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. We’ve been told in the past that if you don’t show up for work the first day of the week (or the day after that), then you’ll be fired. But that’s not always the case.

The problem with autopilot is that it allows us to ignore our own actions, and not think about how we caused or prevented our actions. As a way to solve the problem, it’s important to distinguish between what we ourselves believe is important versus what we think is important. In the case of work, it’s what we think’s important that we are responsible for.
Autopilot is a bit different in the sense that we do think we control our own actions. We do think we control our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. This is because we think we know what’s important. But in fact, we’re not aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. So when we are not aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we don’t think we can control them.
This is exactly the problem with work. We think we can control our own work, but in fact we can’t. The problem is that some people control their own work and others don’t. And when we’re not aware of that, then these people think they can control our work and we don’t think we should. We just end up working with people who are the exact opposite of us.
This is one of those problems that is best solved by giving someone the power to change their own behavior. We could easily stop someone from working with a group of people who are doing the exact opposite of them, but we can’t just set people free. In fact, this could lead to the loss of our own jobs.
