One of the most exciting announcements made at the recent Salesforce Summit was a partnership between Salesforce.com and our vendor, Integrating.com. Salesforce.com is the sales force automation software that allows you to track, manage, and analyze your sales and customer data. Integrating.com is the online service that allows you to connect and collaborate with your customers and suppliers.
Integrating.com is really cool because it’s a completely separate cloud service, whereas Salesforce.com is hosted in the same physical location. That means that Integrating.com is much more reliable and has a lot more functionality built in. Our vendors are very happy with Integrating.com because it means they can now integrate Salesforce.com directly.
If your company connects with sales and customer information, you are at least technically connected with the data. It’s not always easy to get it out of Salesforce, much less integrate with it. If you want to use the Salesforce integration, make sure you go through Salesforce’s developer support. They are really helpful, and the reps are very knowledgeable.
Integrating Salesforce also means there are now more integration options. You can now integrate with all our other products such as Google Analytics and Google Maps.
Salesforce integration does not mean the data will be available without you having to use Salesforce. The integration can be a lot more seamless, which is cool, but it means you’ll have to add custom fields to your CRM, which can be annoying.

So if you forget your password, or you’re not connected to your Salesforce account (which can be done with a free trial), youll have to reset your password, which can be time consuming.
But if youre already using Salesforce to do your integrations, you can easily connect to Salesforce to do your integrations with. To add a new field to your Opportunity, you can either use the “Link” button, select the field you want to link to, or just type the field’s name in the Salesforce.com search window.
So you can either use the site.salesforce.com link, or select the field you want to link to. If you select the field, Salesforce will open up a browser window where you can type in the field names you want to link to. This is quick and easy, and you can even export your list of fields into an Excel sheet if you want.
