Let’s say you want to know how many people have taken a specific action in the last month, or for the last year. You can find these numbers by looking at the annual sales figures, but I’ll show you how you can quickly get some numbers by using Google Trends.
Google Trends is a search engine that uses “public” search data from Google. Google Trends data is a set of monthly, real-time, global searches for a keyword (for example, “process improvement specialist”), which is then used to calculate the percentage of searches for that keyword in the last month. If you’re like me, and you always search for “process improvement specialist”, you can find this on Google Trends.
It might be easier than you think to get out a Google Trends report for your company. All you have to do is go to Google Trends and type in the keyword process improvement specialist. You will then get a graph that lets you quickly see the results. This is a good way to see if your company is doing well or not.
For the most part, we agree with Google Trends that this does help, but it is not always easy to tell when a keyword is doing well or not. Sometimes it is just a few results that get a lot of traffic, and other times it might take a while for the search volume to spike.
The first time I tried this, I noticed that the keywords I was searching were doing very poorly in Google Trends. I was getting a lot of traffic to my site, especially from Google AdWords, which was great, but it wasn’t as strong as I had expected. This was very confusing to me.
What’s going on? Well, in a nutshell, Google Trends is how people find information about your site on Google. Using the “Google Trends” tool, you can search for keywords and see the traffic generated. If Google Trends shows a lot of traffic for keywords you are actively pursuing, then that means your website is doing well in terms of ranking.
Google Trends is really important because it’s a great way to figure out which keywords someone is searching for and which keywords other people are searching for. This is important because it tells us precisely what keywords to aim for, how important they are to people, and how much traffic they will generate.
I think it is also important to note that there are numerous websites that post statistics on Google Trends including the SEO tool itself (there’s even a “Google Trends” button on the right side of the page). So be careful when you check out the Google Trends page.
