When we’re in the process of making a decision, we often hear the word “analytics” tossed around a lot. But what is it? Is it a fancy term that means something other than what it really means? After reading The Three Levels of Self-Awareness, I realized that it is actually the process of making a decision.
That’s what the term means. It’s a fancy term meant to describe a specific part of a process. For example, buying a car might be a decision (or a series of decisions, if you’re not a car person), but when you go to buy the car, you don’t actually sit down and think about what a car is and what it’s for.
And the term is also used in the context of buying a house, a condo, a business, or an individual. In fact many of these words have the same meaning, including the word “decision”. The three levels of self-awareness are related to how we make decisions. The first level is the “decision” itself, where we consciously decide what we want or what we want to do.
The second level is the process of deciding what to do, and then performing the action. The third level is the actual action itself. In other words, it’s the actual action of making a decision.
Most of us can tell when we’re being conned or deceived. We can tell by how our mind works. We can tell by how our body works. We can tell by how our actions and decisions impact our physical bodies. We can tell by how we feel in our bodies. We can tell by how we feel in our hearts. We can tell by how we feel in our minds. We can tell by how we feel in our body parts.
In medical analytics, what we are doing is estimating the size of a patient’s organ or body part. In that way we can predict how a patient’s organs or body parts will behave in future. We can then use this information to help doctors diagnose and treat patients, especially those we may not be able to save at the time of their first visit.
