It’s true that many of my clients are data analytics specialists, but I do have my own data. I also do a lot of consulting for clients in the same capacity, and I get asked a lot about my data. Here’s the scoop; I don’t have a single drop of data that I don’t have a good reason to share.
I dont have a data point that says my client is a data analytics specialist. I also dont have a single datapoint that says my client is a data analyst. I have a number of points that say he is a data analyst, but because I know he is a data analyst, I dont know why he is a data analyst.
In the world of data science, a “data analyst” is a technical specialist who is a part of a data science team. In the world of data science, a data analyst is a person (or a group of people) who is highly-skilled in the area of data science. The term data analyst has an unfortunate association with being a “data geek” and generally has a somewhat negative connotation.
That’s probably because data analysts are often the people who generate the data. Because they are at the heart of the data and know how to analyze it, they are often seen as the people who must be involved in the decision and interpretation of said data.
Data analysts are often very good at analyzing data, but a lot of the time they’re not very good at finding insights or making business decisions. That’s where the consulting industry comes in. We help people find the data they need to make decisions and help them find the best resources to leverage it in the best way.
Data analytics consulting is not a new thing. It began with the work of the famous data scientist Robert A. C. Martin. Martin was a pioneer of data science and used the data he collected to solve complicated problems in order to make his clients’ jobs easier. You might be familiar with the work of the folks who are out there doing the same thing today: Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
A lot of data analytics consulting firms are focused on using the data that they collect to increase their earnings or increase their reputation. If you are interested in data analytics, though, you should check out data analytics consulting. While many of the analytics consulting services that you see out there are not necessarily focused on helping you extract data from your own website, they do have specific tools that can help you find the data that your website is using to make decisions. Some of these tools are pretty cool.
Data analytics consulting is basically the “what can you mine from your website?” level of analytics. Basically, it’s the process of using the data that you collect to increase your earnings or increase your reputation. What you’re after is what you gather from your website in terms of your own interests.
Like I said, the most useful tools to mine from the number of visitors and page visits on your website will be the number of unique visitors you have. What these tools will tell you is the things that they are interested in. For example, if you use Google Analytics (or any other web analytics tool) to track visitors, you can see what the top searches on your website are, and you can see what pages are used the most for each of your keywords.
What these tools can’t tell you is “who is your audience.” You can’t really pinpoint exactly who someone is in any data analytics program. But you can probably guess some of the things that are important to you based on what you’re interested in.
