24 Hours to Improving channel marketing manager

I was recently let go from the channel marketing position I’ve held for 12 years (thankfully not by my own doing), and I’m really not sure what I’m going to do next.

That’s great I’m really not sure what to do with this group of people. I didn’t even have to go through the “group” process, because I knew that some of them were going to have a hard time finding jobs and I had some bad news for those of you that didn’t know. So I’m going to get a chance to talk to them about what they’re up to and make sure that they understand the process and what’s happened to them.

For some, the first thing they should do is get a job. For others, it might be their first step toward being on the unemployment rolls.

Channel marketing managers, or CMMs, are people that work behind the scenes for publishers to create the look, feel, and functionality of channels. This is a job where a publisher might need someone with experience in creating channels to create a look that is attractive to readers. A CMM works directly with a publisher to create a channel and then works with a channel’s marketing team to ensure that channel’s look is optimized for the channel’s audience.

This job can be a bit confusing because the person can also be doing a lot of the marketing themselves. A person working a job that includes a lot of marketing is called a “channel marketing manager.

The marketing job is to put yourself out there, and make yourself known to the world. That includes things like social media, blogs, other channels, and so on.
