Account managers are the people who keep an eye on your accounts, ensure that you’re paying the right amount, and oversee your company’s money. You need a certain amount of experience and certifications in order to gain a job as an account manager.
The first six months after applying as an accountant can be a challenging time to find a job, but it can be even more difficult if youre looking for a job in the UK. To be sure, the UK is a relatively small market, so there are certainly plenty of accounting jobs in England and Wales. But there are certain requirements that you will need to meet, and these requirements will determine the level of experience you will need to have.
Requirements for account managers include working at a large firm and having a good knowledge of accounting in general, working on large accounts, and having at least eight to ten years of experience in the financial services industry.
The best way to get started is by looking for opportunities that are either in or close to your native country. If you are looking to work in the UK, then the best place to start is with a local bank for your local branch or a local firm for your local accounting firm. You can also get your foot in the door by interning or interning for a large accounting firm.
The UK has a fair amount of global talent, so working in the UK is always a good choice. If you have a chance to speak with someone who is looking for a job in the UK, it can be a good idea to find out what jobs are open at their firm or branch first. If you’re an accountant, for example, you can always seek out an account manager or a senior accountant position on your local firm for a few months.
For some companies, interning is a way to get closer to the people who are running the company, and who the employees depend on to do their job. Other companies use interns to expand their staff, or to hire people for projects they have no intention of doing themselves. In many cases, interns get hired at a smaller company’s offices to work a few hours a day.
In my experience, accounting interns are often the least well paid of all the internships. An intern should be paid hourly, and should get to work with the right people on a regular basis. In our case we had two intern positions on our project, one more senior than me. For the two positions, my total pay was $1,800, and my hourly pay was $13.00. The pay was about $12 above the minimum wage.
Of course, the pay is not the only reason to work. I also needed to get some experience working in an office environment. We had a few people who had prior experience working in accounting or finance. But, these people were very young, and didn’t have a lot of experience working in a small company environment. So I took on the position of being the account manager.
I guess it is the same for anyone who starts their own business. I also had to prove to myself that I could handle my clients and do what I was hired to do, even if I knew it would be a risk, in the beginning. I was always looking to learn, and the job was a good way to do that.
I was hired as a part-time consultant, and when I was done I was going to have a lot of responsibility, and be in charge of everything. I also had to prove to myself that I could do the job, even though I knew I wasn’t a very good manager. At the end of the day, I was going to have to take my clients seriously. I had to take the risks, do the work, and get it done.
