This week I am going to share with you my thoughts on practicing gratitude. We live in a world where we have all sorts of things we can be grateful for, and yet we aren’t always aware of these things. For example, we have our health and safety (we live in a world of accidents/crashes/people getting hurt). We have our friends, our families, our neighbors, etc.

So if we have things that we are grateful for, they can be things or ideas that we can use in our daily life to help us in anyway we can. Like the time I was at work and realized I was late for a meeting. I realized that I could use it to remind me to be more patient when I’m in the office. Instead of complaining about it, I could remind myself, “Hey, I’m a nice person. I am really thankful for an awesome job.

It’s not that hard to remember to be grateful for things. It’s just hard to remember to think about it as often as we would like, when we are busy or just not noticing it. It’s hard to think of things that we’re grateful for often because it’s easy to forget to say it all the time. This is why it’s important to practice mindfulness, which helps us to be mindful of our thoughts and feelings.

How much of our behavior is based on our thoughts and feelings? We have a lot of things going for us that we don’t even realize we’re doing. We can’t help but be a little self-conscious sometimes. That’s why mindfulness helps. The more we practice mindfulness, the less likely we are to fall into the tendency of thinking we don’t matter or that everyone else is out to get us.

The thing is, many of us use the term “cfo” too loosely.
